German classes can be taught in English for English-speaking learners.
If French is not your working language, a German course explained in French adds a second hurdle. At our Japoma centre, the explanations can be in English, the fees are published below, and each level is a full 200 hours of tuition.
Every price below is the full course fee for one level, with the registration fee shown separately. Fees per level: A1 115 000 FCFA, A2 115 000 FCFA, B1 130 000 FCFA, B2 130 000 FCFA, C1 140 000 FCFA, plus a 15 000 FCFA registration fee, paid once.
| Level | Fee and hours |
|---|---|
| A1 | 115 000 FCFA · 200 hours of tuition (8 weeks × 25 h) + 15 000 FCFA registration fee (one-time) |
| A2 | 115 000 FCFA · 200 hours of tuition (8 weeks × 25 h) + 15 000 FCFA registration fee (one-time) |
| B1 | 130 000 FCFA · 200 hours of tuition (8 weeks × 25 h) + 15 000 FCFA registration fee (one-time) |
| B2 | 130 000 FCFA · 200 hours of tuition (8 weeks × 25 h) + 15 000 FCFA registration fee (one-time) |
| C1 | 140 000 FCFA · 200 hours of tuition (8 weeks × 25 h) + 15 000 FCFA registration fee (one-time) |
That works out at 575 FCFA per hour of tuition for the first level, before the registration fee. When you compare German courses, always look at the hours as well as the price.
A1 and A2 give you the basics: introducing yourself, everyday phrases, simple messages. B1 and B2 make you independent in conversation and reading. C1 is an advanced level, used for university studies or demanding work in German.
Each level runs over 8 weeks at 25 hours a week, in groups of eight learners at most.
